Hey there! I'm Marcello, and I'm that guy you'll find at the back of every group ride, savoring every pedal stroke and probably thinking about the post-ride coffee stop.

My cycling journey began in the 1980s when I discovered cycling as a way to get around town as a teenager. Along with my friends and brothers we discovered pro cycling as this new sport from Europe. Greg Lemond won his first Tour in 1986 and I was enchantend by the John Tesh themed Tour de France coverage.

I started Grupetto because I realized that the most interesting cycling stories don't come from the podium—they come from the back of the pack. This is where friendships are forged, where we celebrate small victories, and where the real spirit of cycling lives.

When I'm not writing or riding, you'll find me tinkering with bikes in my garage, planning the next adventure, or convincing my non-cycling friends that yes, lycra is actually comfortable.
